8th Grade Field Trip Information

WHEN YOU VISIT: September - early October. Eighth graders kick off the school year with a field trip to Boston School Forest! You will travel to BSF with your science class. Because your teacher may not be with you, all parents & students must also sign a Permission Form, Behavior & Effort Contract, and be in good academic/behavior standing to be eligible to attend. 

WHAT YOU DO: You will work in crews of students to research, write, record and edit a 3-minute video all about an ecosystem here at Boston School Forest. Your teacher will assign you and a group of your classmates to the Forest, Pond, or Prairie Ecosystems. You will use iPad minis to record and edit the videos. We will all watch your video before you head back to school, and then we share it with other schools around the world!

WHAT TO BRING: September can be hot or cool so be sure to dress in layers including t-shirt, long-sleeves, and jacket. All students must bright their own lunch and a water bottle. You may also want to do a little research before your field trip. Use the guides linked below as an outline.
