UWSP Internship
Online Application for the Winter Educator Internship 2026: NOW OPEN
Do you enjoy working with kids? Do you enjoy being outside? Do you plan to stay in Stevens Point over winter break? If you answered “Yes” to these questions, consider applying for the Boston School Forest Winter Educator Internship.
You will be responsible for helping 4th graders learn about cross-country ski equipment and technique, and then head out on our beautiful trails through the woods. Prior experience with cross country skiing is not required, but is helpful. Other programs you will have the opportunity to work with, co-teach, and/or teach include lumberjack history, lumberjack games, and sledding!
Dates of this program run January 5th – January 19th, 2026. The hours are 8:45am-2:45pm with a 30 minute lunch (bring your own lunch).
Although this is an unpaid internship, interns completing the 90-hour internship will receive a letter of recommendation and valuable experience to include on your resume. This is a great opportunity for pre-service teachers and environmental education majors/minors.
Applications will be accepted online by clicking on the following Google form link: https://forms.gle/Be5rfWupfjfkEem36
The deadline to apply is Friday, November 17th, 2025 with interviews the week after Thanksgiving Break.
Boston School Forest is located at 5084 Lincoln Ave., Plover, WI 54467. Contact Karla Lockman, Program Leader, for more information at 715-345-5526.
